HOW WE WORK

OUR APPROACH

We believe that good quality instructional design requires more than just creativity. It involves research, analysis, and close collaboration with you to reflect your organization's vision, strengths, messages, and priorities. To ensure that our course design aligns with your expectations, we've outlined a six-phase process to guide us every step of the way.

Phase 1

Savvy Start

Digital Artifex uses Agile, an iterative approach, to manage each project. The first phase of our process, the Savvy Start, allows us the opportunity to learn more about the project. In this step, we:

  • Establish a relationship with your team.
  • Determine the full scope of the project.
  • Identify your expectations.
  • Identify the resources required.
  • Discuss our process.
  • Reach an agreement on next steps.

Phase 2

Analysis

Next, we enter the analysis phase. In this phase, we will begin to collect the data that will become the framework of the training. We collect data in a variety of ways, including interviews, informal discussions, observations, and data reviews.

Once the data is collected and organized, we present it to the client in a cohesive, logical way. The client will then have the opportunity to provide us with feedback on our findings and make adjustments as needed.

Phase 3

Design

When the analysis is complete, the design work begins. To ensure that we keep your training needs and priorities at the core of every design decision, we will create a high-level outline of each course for your review. It's also during this stage where we'll create any necessary storyboards.

Phase 4

Development

Now it's time for development. During this phase, we're hard at work, creating the various parts of the training program. We use our iterative project management approach to produce Alpha, Beta, and Gold versions of your curriculum for your, ensuring the final product reflects your input.

When we've met your quality standards (and ours), we prepare your assets for the final review and production. We examine and test each asset rigorously to make sure that the finished product meets your expectations.

Phase 5

Implementation

In this phase, we assist in implementing the training, if necessary. Implementation could take on various forms depending on the type of training and delivery methods.

Phase 6

Evaluation

Once the training is complete, we'll work with you to assess the outcome of the project. We are keen to hear not only your insights on our process and designs but also any feedback you have received from your audiences. If desired, we can work with you to design data-gathering tools – such as surveys and polling.
